The Stack

As we move further into the age of code, it's obvious that technology will only continue to play a bigger and bigger role in business.

In recent years, we've seen a significant shift towards cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions and e-commerce platforms, with companies of all sizes embracing these technologies as a way to streamline operations and improve efficiency. However, we believe that this is just the beginning, and that over the next decade, virtually every company will need to have a tech stack that is rich in data. From restaurants to wallstreet, all will have a stack in one form or another.

Why is this the case? Because data is the lifeblood of the modern economy. With the rise of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other data-driven technologies, companies that are able to harness the power of data will have a significant advantage over their competitors. This means not just collecting data, but also being able to analyze it, make sense of it, and use it to inform business decisions.

At our firm, we are actively looking to invest in companies that understand the importance of a data-rich tech stack. We want to work with entrepreneurs and business leaders who are thinking in a "machine-readable" mindset, meaning that they understand the importance of clean, structured data that can be easily processed by algorithms and other automated systems. By providing these companies with the capital they need to build out their tech stacks and infrastructure, we hope to help them succeed in a data-driven future.

To give a specific example, imagine a company that sells products online. In the past, this company might have relied on a simple e-commerce platform to manage its sales and inventory. However, in a data-rich future, that won't be enough. Instead, the company will need to collect and analyze data on customer behavior, order patterns, and inventory levels in real-time, using this information to optimize pricing, improve supply chain efficiency, and deliver a better overall customer experience.

It is entirely feasible and practical for venture capital investment decisions to be fully automated and immediate in a future where every company has a uniform and advanced technology infrastructure.

We are working towards this future.

In addition to greater transparency and predictability, a standardized and rich tech stack would also lead to increased efficiency and cost-effectiveness. With a common set of tools and processes, companies will easily share information and collaborate with each other, reducing the time and resources needed to reach viable growth.
